Andreas Paloma-Bertrand
Andreas Paloma-Bertrand is a writer/director based in Brooklyn with a background in technology, creative writing, and dance. Born and raised in Florida by a first-generation Portuguese father and second-generation Bolivian mother, he moved to New Jersey at 18 to study Computer Science at Princeton University before settling in New York City.
Andreas is transitioning from a 9+ year career as an entrepreneur and software engineering leader, most recently leading the adtech team at Bloomberg Media. In 2024 and 2025 he received four filmmaking certifications from Brooklyn’s BRIC lab in sound mixing, camera/lighting, editing, and screenwriting.
He recently completed his debut short film IN THE EYE, a self-produced semi-autobiographical family drama shot on location in Brooklyn with 15 cast and crew in February 2026. Andreas is also an inaugural member of Antigravity Academy’s Indie Institute 2026, an Emmy and Film Festival celebrated creative home for singular storytellers founded by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Carlos López Estrada.
